Betty Raysor Obituary

Betty Irene Williams-Raysor was born on August 21,1951 in Clairton Pennsylvania to the late Henry and Luvenia Williams.  
 
She graduated from Clairton High school in 1970 and soon after she began her journey to Jersey City, NJ.  
 
Betty was employed at Chemical Bank in New York for 15 years. She then worked at Prudential  until retirement in 2003.  
 
Betty was a faithful member of Corinthian Baptist church in Jersey City, NJ until 2013 and then she became a member at Union Baptist church.  
 
Betty was a hard worker and loved being of service to anyone in need. She would volunteer her time at church events and anything that would give back to her community.  
 
Betty loved family time, dancing, laughing and singing all day long. She was a christian and a no nonsense type of woman.  
 
Betty transitioned  peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Newark Beth Israel Medical hospital. She now flies high over the rainbow where she proceeds to watch over us.  
 
Betty is preceded in death by her late husband Richard Raysor, her parents Henry and Luvenia Williams, her brother Henry Alan Williams and her sisters Deborah Williams and Ronna Kay Wilson. 
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son Shawn Wiliiams (Krystal), her two daughters Tiffany Williams and Kimberly Williams (Shetaya Williams), sisters: Cheryl Anderson and Dana Massey, 5 grandchildren: Andre, Jac'quil, Teshawn, Aniyah, and Brooklyn. Her adopted daughter, Sheniece Mahan and adopted grandchildren Saniyah, Anthony, Myssiah and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
